I've modified every RV I've ever owned and you probably have done the same. On my current coach I didn't like the European design sliders on my cabinet drawers so I changed them out for full extension sliders. I also built a storage system under my sink to effectively utilize the wasted space. Simple changes can make your cabinetry system more effecient and better suited for your personal style and tastes.
Ron and Dianne Fry from Anacortes, Washington have been RVing over 40 years and are aggressive about making changes and modifications to their RV. Dianne wanted a place to keep all her detergent and cleaners handy.
She didn't want to have to pull six bottles out of a cabinet in order to reach the one she wanted in the back corner. Instead Ron redesigned one of the cabinets making it into a full extension slide out drawer. Now Dianne can easily access all her cleaning products without getting out a step ladder or getting on her hands and knees to dig around under the sink.
Ron made a drawer and mounted the two full extension sliders underneath. This allows for maximum width of the drawer without sacrificing a half inch on each side to make room for the sliders.
Ron used the existing cabinet door as the new face for the drawer. A few screws installed from inside the drawer (short enough not to protrude through the drawer face) was the finishing touch.

Sure hope they don't put very much weight in the drawer. The sliders are on the flat and can bend very easy and spill the contents. Great idea though.
I used the same technique when I replaced my old tube TV with an LCD and a shelf behind it for my mini tower computer.
It is true with the slides flat it reduces the capacity, but I seldom leave the shelf extended. When it is closed weight is not much of a problem.
I too have made some modifications to cabinets including an extension to one for my all in one printer, mounted an LCD tv on a new door overhead center creating a large storage space behind it. I have worked with cabinet slides and some are dedsigned for under cabinet use and have a high weight capacity the ideda is solid and I recomend an on line search for drawer slides and selecting properly designed and weight rated slides for each applications. Jim, thanks for the constant flow of ideas. Bill
