RVers Hit “The Rally” this Weekend In Redmond, Oregon

RVers from all over the United States and Canada descended on the Deschutes Country Fair and Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon this weekend. Fortunately, the weather was quite enjoyable today. Andrew Inabnit and his friendly Yorkie Emily were visiting from Belgrade, Montana. He and his wife were shopping for a new 5th wheel. These kinds of events are the best place to do this because you can see and compare most all the major brands and models in one place. In fact there were approximately 1,000 RVs on display. The Affinity Group sponsors this event every year and an estimated 10,000 people are expected to attend each day. The vendor’s booths were humming with activity as folks purchased items for RVing. I’ll be bringing you news on many of the new items I saw at this event here and at the “Great RV Gear” blog. Lots of folks enjoyed touring the many exhibits and attending the informative seminars on the RV lifestyle. Nightly entertainment and camping camaraderie at the event campsites are always fun. We just got back into our home area after attending The Rally in Redmond OR. We had a great time attending the informative seminars that we weren't able to get to during the 2005 Rally. Added a few new things to the rig as well, even one that wasn't planned on! There seemed to be fewer vendors this year than in '05, but there still was probably more things to lust after than most of us need! A great time and if you have never attended The Rally, put it on your must do list.
